Daikin Park Overview

Daikin Park, home to Major League Baseball's Houston Astros, is a popular destination during the summer months in Houston. With over 40,000 seats, the park also boasts a unique feature—a replica of a 19th-century locomotive. This train runs about 800 feet along the west side of the ballpark, lighting up and making sounds to celebrate key moments like the team entering the field, home runs by Astros players, and team victories.

The air-conditioned stadium provides a much-needed relief from the hot summer weather. Additionally, the stadium is equipped with a fully retractable roof, allowing for fresh air on cooler days. Even when the roof is closed, a 50,000-square-foot glass section ensures that the city’s skyline remains visible.

Daikin Park is conveniently situated in the northeast end of downtown Houston, just a few blocks from Discovery Green and the Marriott Marquis Houston. The area offers around 25,000 paid parking spaces in nearby lots and garages. The ballpark is within walking distance from downtown, and the METRORail Green and Purple lines service the Convention District stop, making it easily accessible.
