Introduction to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
Located in the northwest corner of the valley, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a destination unto itself. As the primary resort area in the valley, it offers a diverse range of accommodations including various hotels, condos, and vacation rentals. At the base, you'll find numerous dining options along with a few on-slope restaurants. The main attraction here is the skiing—and for a good reason. The resort boasts a vertical drop of 4,139 feet, an average annual snowfall of 458 inches, legendary steeps, and 2,500 acres of inbounds terrain. Additionally, there are ski schools for children aged three and up, as well as alpine guides for backcountry skiing enthusiasts.
Summer Activities
During the summer months, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort transforms into an outdoor adventure hub. At the base, you'll find an adventure park, disc golf, and multiple biking and hiking trails. The resort also features a via ferrata, a lift-served mountain biking park, and paragliding opportunities. A highlight of the summer season is the aerial tram, which operates for sightseeing and hiking. The 12-minute tram ride takes you to the summit of the 10,450-foot Rendezvous Mountain, offering breathtaking views of the Teton Mountains. If heights aren't your thing, there's no need to worry—there are plenty of activities to keep you entertained. Free outdoor concerts are held throughout the summer, including the renowned Grand Teton Music Festival.
Hours of Operation
The lifts are operational every day from 9 or 9:15 a.m. to 4 p.m., depending on the lift, from late November through early April. Note that uphill travel is not permitted during these times.
