The Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center is situated just 7 miles southwest of Key Largo in Tavernier, Florida. This center is composed of two main facilities: an animal hospital dedicated to rehabilitating wounded birds, and the Laura Quinn Wild Bird Sanctuary, which houses over 90 birds spanning 40 species. Due to injuries that prevent them from being released back into the wild, these birds live in humane, natural enclosures designed for their comfort.

The Laura Quinn Wild Bird Sanctuary

The sanctuary offers visitors a chance to embark on a self-guided tour through its habitat, where they can observe a variety of birds including hawks, owls, pelicans, vultures, herons, and more. It is important to note that the animal hospital section of the center is not open to the public unless visitors are dropping off an injured bird.
