Located in the Art Deco Historic District and housed in a 1920s Mediterranean Revival building that is a South Beach landmark, the Wolfsonian-Florida International University is a multistory museum that delves into the impact of art and design on world history through its extensive collection of over 200,000 objects. The museum's collection, which focuses on a century of transformation from 1850 to 1950, includes a diverse array of artifacts such as everyday household appliances, furniture, groundbreaking architectural plans, propaganda posters, and more.

Getting There

The Miami Beach Trolley stops within a block of the museum, and there are bike-share locations on 9th and 11th streets off of Washington Avenue. For those driving, multiple city parking garages are within three blocks of the Wolfsonian, including a surface lot directly across the street and metered parallel parking along Washington Avenue.
