Permanent Collections and Exhibitions

With over 10,000 years of South Florida history, HistoryMiami's permanent collections explore the region's past, tracing back to its Native American heritage. Notable exhibitions include one of the largest Pan American World Airways collections in the United States and artifacts from local artisans, musicians, and religious communities. Additionally, annual rotating installations highlight Miami's impact on American pop culture.

Special Features

This Smithsonian affiliate also houses an archives and research center and the South Florida Folklife Center. These facilities preserve and record the unique traditions of Miami's diverse Latin cultures. The museum is situated in the Miami-Dade Cultural Center in downtown Miami, conveniently located across the street from the Government Center Metrorail station.

Hours

The museum is open from Wednesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.

Tickets
