The park features a freshwater lake ideal for fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. Families can delight in multiple playgrounds, paved biking and walking paths, picnic areas, and beautifully maintained gardens. Additionally, visitors have the option to rent bikes and boats to explore the park further.

A unique highlight of Lakes Regional Park is the Railroad Museum of Southwest Florida, which provides daily train rides that are especially popular among children.
