Location and Getting Here

Myakka River State Park is located 18 miles southeast of downtown Sarasota, along the same highway that leads to Sarasota National Cemetery. Public transportation to the park is not available, so visitors will need to drive. Free parking is provided on-site.

Admission Fees

Standard admission costs $4 per vehicle with one passenger, or $6 per vehicle for two to eight passengers. Pedestrians and cyclists are charged $2 each. For those planning to camp, the fee is $26 per night, plus a nonrefundable reservation fee of $6.70.

Rentals and Tours

Bikes, kayaks, and canoes are available for rent by the hour. Boat and tram tours are priced at $22 per adult and $12 for children ages 3 to 12; children under 3 can ride for free on a parent's lap. Tours typically depart at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.
