Crescent Beach: A Quiet Escape on Siesta Key
For a more tranquil beach experience, head to Crescent Beach, located just south of the popular Siesta Beach. Here, you will find the same fine, white sand that Siesta Beach is known for, along with excellent opportunities for snorkeling and diving at the coral-rich area known as Point of Rocks. Crescent Beach is often referred to as the "most private, non-private" beach on Siesta Key.
Accessibility and Parking
Despite its slightly more exclusive reputation, Crescent Beach is easily accessible through two public access points off Midnight Pass Road. One of the main access points is Public Access #12, situated near Stickney Point Road. You can reach this beach by taking the free Siesta Island open-air trolley and hopping off at either Stickney Point Road or Midnight Pass Road. If you prefer to drive, it’s advisable to arrive early to secure one of the free parking spots, which are limited but available. Keep in mind that the parking spaces may be small for larger vehicles.
Beachgoer Reviews
Recent visitors have described Crescent Beach as an "awesome beach" with crystal clear water and excellent shelling opportunities. Additionally, while parking is generally available, some visitors have noted that the parking spots can be tight for larger vehicles.
Operating Hours
Crescent Beach is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, visit the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce's website.
