The Home's Construction and History
The Harrison family built the home on a double lot off West Delaware Street in 1874, designed in the Italianate style. The home boasted luxuries like running water, a coal furnace, and gaslights throughout its large structure. Benjamin Harrison and his first wife Caroline oversaw much of the home’s construction. After Harrison's death, it served as a home to his second wife and child before changing hands multiple times. Eventually, it was declared a National Historic Landmark and underwent restoration. Today, visitors can enjoy guided tours and view an extensive collection of Harrison's personal belongings.

Hours
Guided tours, the only way to tour the property, are available every two hours Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Fridays, tours are available on the hour between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturdays offer tours on the hour between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., and on Sundays, tours run on the hour from noon to 3 p.m.
Tickets
Adult admission for the guided tour is $16, while tickets for children (ages 5 to 17) are available for $11. Advance tickets are required to tour the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site.
