Fun for kids and families in Naples isn’t limited to the beach or resort pool. The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON) offers an exciting opportunity for kids to ignite their imaginations with interactive exhibits and programs, all within a sprawling 38,000-square-foot facility designed for “learning through play.” While the museum welcomes kids of all ages, it is particularly enjoyable for those aged 10 and younger.
Highlights
Interactive Areas for Different Ages
Children from infancy to age 3 can safely explore in the ABC Tot Lot, a gated area where they can learn and play. Older children will find a range of exhibits including an Art Studio complete with themed creative projects, and an Inventioneer’s Lab geared toward experimentation and problem-solving.
Themed Exhibits
Additional exhibits include a miniature post office, market, and vet clinic, allowing children to engage in role-playing activities. The museum also brings Florida’s natural world to life with displays dedicated to the beach, the Everglades, a farm, and a giant replica banyan tree that kids can climb from the inside.
Recent Reviews
Visitors have praised the museum for its immersive experiences and the variety of sensory activities available for kids, making it an excellent indoor alternative on hot days. However, some reviewers found the admission price to be high relative to the state of the exhibits, and noted that the museum only accepts card payments, not cash.
