Brooklyn Bridge Park, situated on the Brooklyn side of the East River, is a scenic 85-acre green space at the base of the iconic bridge linking Manhattan and Brooklyn. The park extends 1.3 miles along Brooklyn’s waterfront, connecting Columbia Heights and Dumbo—a vibrant neighborhood known for its trendy cafes, boutiques, and restaurants.

Brooklyn Bridge Park is one of the city’s newest parks, transforming from an industrial zone and former transportation terminal that welcomed immigrants to a beloved public space. The park boasts a range of amenities including rolling hills, promenades, playgrounds, basketball courts, sports fields, a roller skating rink, and gardens spread across six piers along the riverfront. Additionally, the park is a haven for biodiversity with more than 12,000 species of plants and wildlife, including 3,000 trees.

Events and Activities

The park regularly hosts a variety of events and programs such as sunset yoga and nature storytime throughout the year. Be sure to check the events page on the park's official website to see if there are any happenings during your visit.
