Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden

This garden is adorned with picturesque wooden bridges and stunning Japanese maples. If you visit at the end of April, be sure to experience the Cherry Esplanade during Sakura Matsuri, when cherry blossoms are in full bloom.

Shakespeare Garden

Another highlight is the Shakespeare Garden, home to over 80 different plants mentioned in the works of William Shakespeare.

With a combination of 13 gardens and five conservatories, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden offers an abundance of scenic beauty. Enjoy year-round exhibits and events, including children's gardening workshops and the enchanting winter Lightscape display.

Operating Hours

The garden welcomes visitors on the following schedule:

• Tuesday and Thursday: 10 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
• Wednesday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Friday through Sunday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Entrance Fees

Admission is priced at $22 for adults, while children aged 11 and under can enter for free. Seniors and students are eligible for discounted tickets.

Getting to Brooklyn Botanic Garden

To reach the garden from Manhattan, take the 2 or 3 train to the Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum stop, or the 4 or 5 train to Franklin Avenue. Alternatively, the B, Q, or S trains will get you to Prospect Park station, but note that the B train is not in service on weekends.
