Explore Tahquitz Canyon
For breathtaking scenery and a glimpse into Native American history and culture, visit the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians' Tahquitz Canyon. Located less than 2 miles southwest of downtown Palm Springs, this reservation area offers a beautiful hike with rock art, diverse flora and fauna, and the 60-foot Tahquitz Falls. The Tahquitz Canyon Visitor Center provides additional attractions such as a canyon documentary, artifact displays, souvenir shopping, and guided walks.
How Long is the Tahquitz Falls Hike?
Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the nearly 2-mile-long Tahquitz Canyon Trail. The hike is relatively easy, though it does feature limited shade, rocky terrain, and occasional elevation changes reaching up to 350 feet.
