Introduction
Housed in a 19th century building at The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, the Mütter Museum highlights the mysteries of the human body through wet specimens (biological samples preserved in fluid), anatomical models, medical instruments, and more. Notable exhibits include Albert Einstein's brain, a tumor removed from President Grover Cleveland's mouth, and the death cast and livers of the famous Siamese twins, Chang and Eng Bunker.
Visitors agree that the Mütter Museum is a must-see for anyone visiting Philadelphia, though some have noted disappointment with the museum's relatively small size. Due to the nature of the exhibits, it is not recommended for children younger than 10.
Hours and Admission
The museum is open from Wednesday through Monday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission fees are $20 for adults, $15 for children aged 6 to 17, and free for kids aged 5 and younger. For more information, visit the official website.
