California Automobile Museum: A Car Enthusiast's Dream

Located on Front Street near Old Sacramento, the California Automobile Museum is a paradise for car lovers. It boasts a collection of more than 130 vehicles, featuring rotating special exhibits and vehicles on loan. Among the collection, visitors can expect to see classic cars, muscle cars, race cars, and more. On the third Sunday of every month, during the “Sunday Drives” event, guests can enjoy a complimentary car ride with paid museum entry. (Please note: Classic cars are not equipped to accommodate car seats.)

Visitor Experiences

Recent visitors have praised the knowledgeable museum docents and the extensive variety of the museum’s collection. However, some visitors were disappointed by the limited opportunities to sit in the vehicles, as most of the cars are for display only.

The museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday, operating between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
