This impressive structure is the fifth version, standing on the site of previous basilicas that were destroyed by earthquakes or fires in the 19th century. Public Access and Mass
The church conducts daily Mass, with services in both English and Spanish on weekends. Visitors are also welcome to tour the interior.
Tour Schedule
The cathedral is open for tours and walk-ins on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons from 1 to 3 p.m. If you prefer a private tour, these can be arranged from Tuesday through Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Tours typically last up to an hour, so early bookings, no later than 10:30 a.m., are recommended. Afternoon tours are available, but they may be less enjoyable since the public can freely drop in for tours.

Tickets
Entry to the church is free. However, there is a suggested donation of $5 per person for those scheduling tours.
