If you are planning to see a show at the St. Augustine Amphitheater, this park is a great place to camp for the night. There's even a walking trail that connects the two through the woods near the campground area by Sand Dollar Loop.

An Overview of Anastasia State Park

Part of the Florida State Park system, Anastasia State Park features 1,600 acres of white sand beaches, marshes, and sand dunes. It's an ideal spot to disconnect from the outside world and immerse yourself in nature.

Activities and Attractions

Visitors can spend as little or as much time as they’d like bird-watching, kayaking, and hiking through nature trails. Travelers of all ages can also enjoy riding bicycles on the beach, boating, fishing, and swimming. However, know that lifeguards are only present between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Anastasia Watersports is available for those who wish to rent equipment like kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and bicycles.

Camping at Anastasia State Park

There are 139 campsites in the park that can accommodate RVs or tent camping for travelers who'd like to stay overnight. Recent vacationers found the park beautiful and serene, with reports of very few crowds.

Visitors also spotted turtles and numerous birds and were impressed by the cleanliness of the beach areas.

Park Logistics

Anastasia State Park is open from 8 a.m. to sunset daily, although overnight campers can arrange for late arrivals. Entry fees include $8 per vehicle, $4 for single-occupant vehicles, and $2 for those on bikes or on foot. Campers will pay $28 to stay overnight, with an additional $13.70 for reservations and utilities.

Amenities

Near the park's designated swimming area, visitors can grab a beverage or a casual bite to eat at Island Beach Shop and Grill, which also offers wine and beer.

Restrooms are widely available across the campgrounds and near the swimming beach. Additionally, there are 350 complimentary parking spots for daytime visitors, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
