Why Visit Kalahari Resorts & Conventions
Whether you have kids or you're just a kid at heart, Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is a must-visit in the Poconos. The resort does not require an overnight stay, as it offers day passes that provide access to its signature water park. Visitors can also enjoy the resort's arcade, restaurants, gift shops, spa, and more.
Highlights
Kalahari boasts several adrenaline-filled slides, including the Serengeti Safari Adventure, a tandem tube slide with disorienting designs and hidden animal figurines aligned with the African theme of the resort. Other highlights include a virtual reality waterslide experience where riders don VR headsets while careening down the slide, and The Smoke That Thunders, a family raft ride.
Activities for Young Kids
For young children, there are numerous options such as Coral Cove's zero-depth entry area with slides, Splashdown Safari where a giant dump bucket and other water features guarantee you get soaked, and Tiko's Watering Hole for more pint-sized fun.
Additional Features
The resort also offers a traditional lazy river, wave pool, hot tubs, and a FlowRider surfing simulator.
While most visitors agree that the costs at Kalahari are steep, they also believe the overall experience is well worth it.
Cost
All-day water park passes start at $69.99 per person. Discounted passes are available for those who visit after 4 p.m.
