Overview of the Umlauf Sculpture Garden
The works of Charles Umlauf, a University of Texas art professor for 40 years, are showcased amidst native Texas landscaping and water features on Umlauf's former property. In 1985, Umlauf and his wife, Angeline, donated their property, home, and Charles' studio along with 168 sculptures to the City of Austin. The garden features 59 of Umlauf's sculptures, primarily in bronze created using the lost wax method. Additionally, the collection includes thousands of his drawings.
