Modeled after a Kenyan nature preserve, the Denver Zoo houses over 4,000 animals, including tigers, black rhinos, kangaroos, and orangutans. The zoo offers several free admission days each year, which are listed on the Denver Zoo website. The zoo is located about 3 miles from downtown Denver; you can take the No. 32 bus running through downtown and LoDo into City Park for convenient access.
