Introduction to Ha'ena Beach Park
During the serene summer months, the North Shore's Ha'ena Beach Park becomes a favored destination for swimming and snorkeling. The inviting turquoise waters beckon visitors to dive in. Situated on one side of the crescent-shaped Maniniholo Bay, the other side features the popular Tunnels Beach. For those who enjoy lounging on the white sands, there is an abundance of shells to examine. However, it is essential to leave them in their natural habitat to protect the delicate ecosystem.
Seasonal Safety Tips
Exercise caution during the winter season as the beach’s conditions can become hazardous. While you may witness experienced surfers tackling the massive waves, the rough surf and strong currents pose significant dangers for swimmers. Visitors have observed that the entire beach may be cordoned off and the lifeguard station closed during extreme wave conditions. Always heed these warnings for your safety.
