National Constitution Center

Introduction

The National Constitution Center, situated in the Old City neighborhood, is just under a half-mile from the Liberty Bell Center and Independence Hall. This center features unique exhibits that spotlight the signing of the Constitution and other pivotal events in U.S. history. Some notable artifacts include the first draft of the Constitution and a surviving copy of the Emancipation Proclamation signed by President Abraham Lincoln.

Hours and Admission

The National Constitution Center operates from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday, and remains closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission fees are as follows: $19 for adults, $15 for kids aged 6 to 18, and free for children 5 and under. Visitors from January through March can take advantage of discounted admission rates.

Parking

The center has its own parking lot located between 5th and 6th Streets, accessible from Race Street. Alternatively, there are several public parking garages nearby.

Subway
