Introduction
Spruce Street Harbor Park is a summertime favorite in Philly, featuring hammocks, a beer garden, an arcade, lawn games, and a boardwalk on the Delaware River. It’s the perfect place to relax and the closest you'll come to a beach in Philadelphia, though the Jersey Shore beaches aren't far.
Dining and Night Experience
The park offers a variety of food vendors on-site, and you have the option to enjoy your meal on a floating river barge. At night, the park transforms into an enchanting space with trees illuminated by multicolored lights, making it especially pretty.
Local and Tourist Favorite
Both locals and tourists agree that Spruce Street Harbor Park is ideal for everyone, from couples to families. It’s also a dog-friendly environment, with leashed dogs welcome in all areas except the river barges and hammocks.
Restrooms
While there are no restrooms at the park, it’s a quick walk to the public facilities located at 301 S. Columbus Blvd.
Hammocks
The hammocks are especially popular and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Alternatively, you can rent a hammock lounge by the river accommodating up to 10 people. The rental fee is $75 for 90 minutes, and it's best to book this online in advance of your visit.
